The Owl Cam

We have a breeding pair! The female laid 5 eggs and all 5 hatched! Now the challenge is to feed those 5. So, both male and female spend quite a bit of time out of the box hunting for food. We have seen them bring in many lizards, a small snake and a few small birds (you can see the feathers scattered around in the box). Biggest concern now is that the pair are out during the day and we have seen hawks and a CaraCara in area and worry that the hunters could become the hunted. Still, the chick are growing fast. They will fledge in another three weeks or so but then another worry arises in that we have several cats in the neighborhood and many fledglings will hang around on the ground as they strengthen their wings...
